Reservations

Reservations at Kinship can be made via our website up to two months in advance, opening on the first of each month. Please click on the link “Make a Reservation” to check availability for a specific date. Also, the restaurant can be reached by phone from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 202-737-7700. We will not accept phone reservations during dinner service hours.

The restaurant accepts reservations for parties up to 6 guests. For parties larger than 6 guests, please contact our Private Dining Coordinator at guestrelations@kinshipdc.com.

While children are welcome in our dining room, please note that the restaurant is intimate and the dining experience averages two plus hours depending on the amount of courses you may wish to enjoy. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate strollers in the dining room. If you have children in your party and have any questions, please call our reservations office.

Parking

Kindly note that we no longer offer valet service. The closest parking garage is 655 New York Avenue Parking which is located around the corner from the restaurants (the entrance is on L Street NW between Sixth and Seventh Streets). Parking at 655 New York Avenue Parking is offered at a discounted rate of $10 for Kinship guests. More information can be found here.

Walk-in Guests

Our bar is available on a walk-in basis and the full menu is offered. 

Kindly note that our guests’ plans change and we do get some last minute openings due to cancellations. We recommend placing your name on our waiting list for any given date you are not able to make a reservation for initially – we will call you if something opens up.

Service Charge, Deposits, & Cancellations

We apply a mandatory service charge of 23% to all final bills during service. No additional gratuity is expected.

All reservations require a deposit. A $25 per person deposit is required for reservations of up to 4 guests and a $50 per person deposit is required for reservations of 5 or more.

Cancellations with full refund of the deposit are acceptable up to two days prior to your reservation. Due to the small nature of our dining room, if the cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the reservation date, the deposit will not be refunded.

Large Parties

Kindly note that 6 guests is the largest table we seat in the dining room. Inquiries for larger parties require private dining arrangements and can be discussed with a manager at 202-737-7703.

Outside Food and Beverage

We understand that guests may want to bring a special bottle from their private cellar, but at this time we are not accepting corkage in the restaurant. Outside cakes are also not permitted but our pastry chef would be delighted to create a custom cake with at least 72 hours notice.
